Unfortunately due to Russia's war in Ukraine, we will not be able to travel to Russia at this time. Our exploratory treks in 2018 and 2019 got us hooked and we will be back one day.
Journey to the remote Siberian region of Sakha, also known as Yakutia. This land of bears, bugs and bog, is not one for the faint-hearted! But if you take up the challenge you will find a land of incredible beauty, and a fascinating indigenous culture.
We have a thing for riding where no one else goes, and it doesn't get much more off the beaten track than this. The incredibly tough Yakut horses carry us across wide rivers, through dense forest, and deep in to the taiga. Packhorses required!

We are currently planning a trip to experience life with reindeer herders far to the north of Sakha, beyond the Arctic Circle. It's an extreme environment where people still live close to the land and cling on to their traditional ways. They said come visit, and we said da.
